About Us
Experience. Perspective. A Shared Commitment to Stronger Communities.
A Little About Us
Chris Lauckner and Greg Gwaltney, owners of 30+30 Empowerment Consulting, have a long history of leading non-profit organizations and faith/spiritual communities in both paid and volunteer capacities.
They were both overachievers in their youth and were involved in almost everything school and community offered. So, it only follows that they would jump right into volunteering as adults.
Their volunteer non-profit experiences moved quickly into leadership positions where they determined strategic plans of action, strengthened their boards, determined program growth, organized operational processes, and found ways to fund all of it.
They learned a lot over the years, sometimes the hard way! Now, they want to share those lessons with your organization to “unlock potential and create impact!”
What Does “30+30” Mean?
We both have a long history of leading non-profit organizations as an executive director, board chair, board treasurer, clergy, and committee chairs. When we decided to start our consulting business, we had to determine what we brought to the table. We concluded we each have over 30 years of experience in determining organizational strategies, developing growth plans, finding funding sources, and running operations. So, we decided “30+30 Empowerment Consulting” was the perfect name to reflect all that experience that we can bring to your organization.Helping Organizations Unlock Their Potential
Greg and Chris compassionately assist non-profit organizations and faith communities to determine their futures and effectively grow and thrive! Sometimes it helps to have someone walk you through the process, share their past successes and learnings, and assist you in developing a plan of action.Meet The Founders

Greg started volunteering right out of college. He first became a 4-H Leader and led a successful 4-H club of eager youth. When it was time to raise a little funding, Greg made it possible for the club to organize and sponsor a county fair celebration dance – right in the middle of the show arena! It paid off; over 750 youth attended the dance, had a great time, and the club had funding to grow and invest in the community. In his late 20’s, Greg was elected to the Indiana 4-H Foundation Board of Directors and quickly became the state-wide organization’s Treasurer. He was instrumental in a State Fairground Capital campaign which resulted in the Foundation receiving $225,000 in commission fees.
When Greg moved to Michigan, he joined the board of Great Lakes Bay Pride and became its Treasurer. That year, the organization’s total sources was $23,000. Over the next 9 years, GLBP experienced growth in programs and events, including the Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival and the creation of the Harmony Diversity Choir. When Greg retired from the board, the organization had annual sources of nearly $200,000, a thriving Pride Festival, and a full-time paid Executive Director.
Greg has also been a long-time member of the Midland County Community Foundation’s Cultural Awareness Coalition and is active on its dynamic Neighboring Committee, which has grown a small initiative to a county-wide event that is supported by individuals, local businesses, and non-profit organizations!
Greg has held leadership positions within the Episcopal Church Diocese, including local church board, pastor search committee, music committee, and the diocesan convention liturgical committee. He is also a church pianist and plays throughout the diocese.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Purdue University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA). His career ranged from wholesale banking to global manufacturing and has traveled the world during his career. Greg’s career focused on corporate internal audit, in which he evaluated processes and financial information to make recommendations to remediate weaknesses and inefficiencies.
